So this is where it all started! :D I like the idea, but the mechanics... man, just jumping up the stairs proved a challenge, and when you're walking and trying to jump at the same time it doesn't really work, not to mention if you run into the hole in the floor the level doesn't restart, it just keeps going without you in it. Reloading multiple times as once was a bit weird, but maybe you get used to that.

I like the crisp pixel design, and Doop (assuming that's the main character's name) seems like an interesting dude, but it's not as smooth as it could be. Good start though. Design's good, but mechanics... not so polished.

Thank you for you review, but there are no holes or stairs, so I have no idea what you are talking about. It is meant to be isometric, maybe you thought it was 2d?

the game has potential but the physics don't work.

just standing next to a wall prevents jumping and walking in the direction of one you're walking next to prevents you from falling.

jumping itself isn't explained, when you move you hardly jump but holding down jump can make you do a higher jump, good mechanics which you have to play around with to discover and the moving jump causes people to fall in pits the first time.

though with all that it's functional, a bit more instruction and changing wall collision will make this game way better, i don't know stencil so i can't help.

i enjoy the art and music btw.

The moving jumps were on purpose , so the player had to decide which jump is useful. But I understand what you are saying and I might make A 'Doop 2' with more levels, a narrative and better physics.

I'll fix the controls and make a sequel.

The game has a cool art style, but gameplay is executed terribly. I started jumping and it was insanely buggy. I also found that falling into a bottomless pit cant kill you? If you try to make this better, work on physics.

Thank You, will work on physic for next game. But, I don't know about the jumping, for me it seems fine.

The art style I like, that's just about the only good thing I can think about it. you can't actually customize your character, the jumping, shooting and walking doesn't work properly, the animations are stale and the bullets are hard to see

10/10 for design

0.5/10 for gameplay
