The legendary Goblet of Yendor, some say it grants immortality, but others say its infinite power will drive you to madness. Rumored to be made of solid gold, inlaid with gems of incredible beauty and size, it will surely fetch a fortune on the black market. Many a rogue and scoundrel, lured by dreams of endless riches, have set out to steal the elusive artifact from the depths of the Dungeon of Dread. None have survived, will you be the first to succeed?

Rogue Fable II combines the challenge, tactics and strategy of classic roguelikes with a modern interface and graphics. Designed from the ground up to be beatable in a single hour, but with a huge variety between runs. Rogue Fable II includes:

- 6 base character classes with the option to multiclass and customize over the course of a run.
- 8 skills, 35 talents and 24 abilities from which to build your character.
- 8 dungeon branches, randomly chosen each game so that every run feels unique.
- 50 monster types each with their own abilities, behaviors, strengths and weaknesses.
- 80 unique items to discover.

Special thanks to: Alex, Colten, Dmytro, Iryna, Jeremy, and Rob for their testing and design input.

- Lots of updates (up to version 1.09 now) and more to come. Feel free to PM me with any suggestions or bug reports.
- I'm in the running for game of the month over on Kongregate and would greatly appreciate support in the ratings from anyone here who is enjoying the game.

Finally beat it after countless tries. Brutally difficult, especially the ice area. Luck > Skill. Storm Mage is the best by far. Warrior can't deal with maggots. Period. Even if he can one shot them a corpse will spawn them faster than he can kill them and he gets tickled to death. Rogue/Ranger also get overwhelmed. Necro/Fire could probably be viable, but Storm is superior.

I get to the final level with my beefed up storm mage, armed to the teeth and carrying heaps of items to get me out of trouble.
I can't get very far without stepping on lava so I use a teleportation scroll to see if I can get anywhere useful that way. The scroll puts me within 2 tiles of the goblet and I win without any major confrontation or exploring more than 5% of the final level.
Only small complaint about the game is the upgrade system, it's a shame that I can have a +1 item, then pick up a same +3 item and only have it turn into a +2 item.
