A fun and weirdly upbeat song for me. Can ya guess it's silver essence? I can't. The music actually reminds me of the Dead Milkmen, which is a good thing in my book.

First off, the drums are not particularly in time with the rest of the song. When i pressed play i thought i was accidentally playing two videos at teh same time because the drums sound so out of sync. Also I wouldn't pan them as much as you did.
The video is pretty unusual (both in content and form). Not sure the styles always blended together that well, and sometimes the animation looked a bit sloppy and made everything seem weightless and stretchy (when she is shot at the end) but sometimes it works really well (the dogs facial expressions around 0:56). Not sure what to make of the plot, couldn't really grasp the meaning (which perhaps was the point).

Sumerias1 responds:

I can't thank you enough for all the insight! I never realized how screwy the drums were for this one. I think the drums on newer songs are a bit better, but your critique is going to make me go back over them again. The vocals are a bit loud too. I'll keep the panning in mind in the future. I'm not a drummer really (obviously) and was using loops which had panning built in. I think I can take care of that if I nip it in the bud early enough in the construction process. I feel like the editing wasn't where it needed to be either on this. I think I see what you mean on the arrow scene. I actually still like the arrow strike portion but the bow doesn't quite fit in and the omega before it looks really out of place. There's a lot of incongruity in the looks department. The tombstone upclose really stands out as poor. I've been posting my stuff here and there for about 5 years now and have never asked anyone to check out anything of mine, but you have a great discerning eye. About half a year ago, I made my 1st short film, Christmas Somewhere and posted it here. I was pretty proud of it when I posted it and it did end up with 3 stars, but I didn't really get much feedback. Since it took a long time to make and got little fanfare, I'm wary of doing another short film because I'm really not sure what mistakes I made with it. My best guess is that it wasn't paced very well for the internet and things didn't start happening soon enough. It's almost 9 minutes so I understand if you don't have time to check it out. Whether you do or don't, I really appreciate your comment on Omega Lady greatly :)

I'm not even sure what to say here. This is just too damn weird and scary lmao. But that is what I love about it! I love the overall visuals, which are very stylistic in my opinion. The animation really adds to the creepy factor, especially with the dog. I'll be seeing that in my nightmares lol. And the music is pretty ok at best. I'm not really a fan of it to be honest, but the video itself really makes it stand out. Overall, I really like this submission. It obviously has work put into it, and that is what I love seeing. Keep up the great work! :)

Sumerias1 responds:

Heh! It's definitely one of my weirder ones. As for the music, death folk is a hard sell to just about anyone and on top of that there are some big problems with the drums, so I totally understand. I'll keep trying to get better at this crap. Thanks for commenting!
