Your tilesets are broken. RPG Maker MV is a rather powerful tool if used right, but there was no effort here. take some time and test your work and go through to make sure things actually work. Following the games only direction, left me in a house with no continued story, and no event to take me back out of the house [assuming I was even in the right house.] The limited dialogue I can not really rate honestly, but things like 'top of the town' are off putting, if you want us to go up, think of a compass. Tell us to go north. If our direction is the bottom of the area, tell us to go south. The same applies for east and west.

I'm one of the few who wont blast people on stock graphics from MV. Because I know were not all artists, but as I mentioned the tileset is broken, somehow it looks like something got copied wrong when you uploaded it to NG?

Take some time and play other MV games out there, go on youtube and watch some of the content creators that deal with MV and RPG Maker in general. Driftwood, sumrndmdde, and others all have great content that will get you on the right track.

As for a tongue-in-cheek proof of concept model,... this "Game" makes lots of promise. Again since this is only "Episode 1", can we safely assume that with more positive reviews you will feel emboldened to continue your original storyline further?

this could be the spiritual successor to "RPG Hero Adventure" which debut back in 2008. Do you need any fandom pics of your OC created? with more character development you should be able to find some decent fan-art. Otherwise,... look forward to commissioning $25 pieces from the local community of good artist. Not saying you can't find some that would be willing to swap art for other talents,... but when you're using stock RPG elements,... There's not much to trade.
