Take part in a real-life experiment!

Researchers from the University of York want you to play a simple first-person shooter – and after you’ve finished, they’ll explain how what you just did helped us to understand new things about gaming!

Take part now – have fun, and also help scientists to understand games (and gamers) better!

game is supposed to link/load from an external source. which apparently no longer exists. there is no game here.

This is cool! Even though I don't normally play FPSs, I enjoyed this. Great concept, but I killed one of the soldiers, and they freaked out.

Same as @truexero. An Intresting and cool way to conduct sience and theories. Well done.

I mean... I would feel more in the world if my mind was occupied with things that would take more brain power like trying to find something, or think of how things might fit together. also the number that was generated for me was 5112512 which probably led to me being an outlier to the experiment considering how easy that is to remember. I.E. 510,511,512,513 so just take 511 and 512 and put a 2 in the center, effectively making it so I only had to remember 2 numbers, 511 and 2.
I mean, I guess I hope the experiment goes well, but you should really reconsider some of your factors?

Science! I look forward to the results of the experiment.

That said, I wish more shooters used a non-red colour to indicate damage.
