HexTex is a top down mech shooter that will feature a wide verity of characters who will all have there own 4 mission campaigns.

Along with this there will be an online VS mode and a Co-Op survival mode for players to use these characters within.

(this may have to be limited to a downloadable version due to the limitations of webgl right now)

This build is a test of that concept, to see if players will still play top down shooter games.

In this build there is simply a 2 minute survival mode with 4 enemy types and 2 characters to pick from. There are also 4 different weapons you can collect.

All feedback is welcome!

For a 0.1 Alpha build, I've personally seen worse. Runs fairly well (about a solid 25 fps) with a few spikes of frame drop. Content-wise it needs improvement but that is always the case with early development games. The two given game modes have quite a value to them due to their not over the top but still pretty hard difficulty. The graphic design is quite good (kudos to designer), maybe touch up on your color usage (nobody likes a plain gray background). The BGM is at a acceptable level, adding a few other tracks wouldn't hurt though. The character artwork is great, that aspect you should keep for the rest of this game's "run". The main menu is a little plain, maybe also it needs some centering.
A little late for this review, sorry about that. You might of already moved on from this game or have continued working on it but if you still read this I would recommend to continue to a final product...

My first impression of this before entering the game:
Looking at the icon it gives me hope that it'd be an RPG game or an MMORPG, but getting into the game itself changes the whole thing.

Personally I liked the game and I enjoyed it for what it is, I'm impressed by the work but I do suggest adding rounds to the opponents, having them all rush in at the same time would make the game difficult. A suggestion of this would be the pilot's ability to abandon the mech and fight off with her own boots on the ground.

Annd... There are more suggestions so I'll just hook it down to a list:

-Having the ability to upgrade
-Custom Character Build
-Weapons Upgrade
-Detail(Generally referring to color changes of the mech and etc.)

-Bots who can come in and give firing support

>Side Missions

>Online Content
-I'm looking forward to that update.

Overall, great job on the game! From my POV I believe it's great. Keep it up!
