In Whelp, you play as a dragon hatchling inside a volcano. The higher you go, the more the environment around you will change. Escape for as long as you can to achieve the highest score!
I actually love this, and you guys did a great job! It's very cute and simple, but oddly difficult for a platformer with the movement controlls. I love the pressure to correctly key in the arrows for the special platforms and wall removal as the lava is steadily rising, and the falling objects make for a fun time. c: The music is well composed, and I like that it changes the higher you go. The sound effects are also quite adorable. The art for the main menu is precious as well as the sprite for the dragon.
My main critique falls into the movement controls, which make careful motions a little difficult, but I happen to love a good challenge, so it also works pretty well, actually. And I think having an edge to the map would be cool, but again, it just makes things more challenging, which is a quality I find enjoyable.
All in all, it's a pretty neato game, and I'd like to see what else you guys come up with in the future.
Está muy entretenido, solo que los comandos son un poco difíciles de manejar. Sigue así!
¡Gracias por la respuesta!
Boy, jumping with W or being able to control with the arrows would make this so much more convenient. Also, it's a standard platformer - not a bad one at that, but largely not a wonderful one as well. It's in the middle of the spectrum, I guess.
Thanks man, just working on getting a skillset together, will expand on games like these in the future.
