This game is okay, It keeps me excited with many jumping and fighting tasks.

The Enemies are kinda easy, but thats okay, because its the first level of your game.

Treasures mean nothing because of the low value they have.
You can easly farming gold by visiting the blacksmith and kill the same monster over and over again - maybe its would be better to sell healing Items instead of powerfull weapons and the player could find the weapons within the games progress.

The Boss is realy good, but suddenly appearing ledders are not pretty - maybe a wind upstream or platforms coming out of the wall would giving a better look.

The graphics are okay could be better. (I dont like the breaking box sprite ;D)

After all: 3 / 5 Stars

nice job at all!

Good demo overall but did I miss something? Is it impossible to collect over 12,500 in gold and thereby impossible to purchase any except the most basic weapon and shield? I will give 4 stars with the assumption that this is a limitation to the demo. Otherwise, fix it! Even a demo should be long enough to entertain, otherwise Newgrounds becomes less a bit dry.

This is a nice demo. Even though everything looks really simple I like it. I like the menu, these little swords indicating the health.

I'm not sure if I dig the double jump but well... it's a platformer.

I think that text should appear at the bottom of the screen not at the top of it. Also defeating the boss feels really anticlimactic.

This game reminds of Rogue Legacy somehow.

Im kind of curious what there will be in the full version.

Eh. I mean, it definitely has potential in raw game design - sadly, some things don't work out so well, e.g. how treasure chests don't drop more gold than enemy, or how max gold seems to be capped at 12500 making most upgrades impossible to get (I'm assuming this is a case of using a wrong variable type.)
Similarly, ranged attacks are much more useful, safer, AND cheaper to upgrade? What? I mean, I only used melee attacks at couple points through the game, and to break walls, hardly worth spending gold on (assuming gold would work properly, heh)

Graphics aren't terrible, but if I have an advice - make sure that all pixelart has pixels of the same size, otherwise it looks jarring. E.g. head of the hero seems to have pixels 2 times bigger than the legs.

Still, not bad, actually fun to play. Nice game. Nothing innovative, but doesn't need to be.

A pretty solid piece, in concept. At first glance, I could see some aspects of the demo as bleeding a lack of developer skill. The run cycle is very lackluster, the art isn't too high def, reskinning galore, and nothing exceptionally impressive in the art itself, on top of the game running at half speed for me almost all the time. Not sure why.

But, and I mean but, then I view how most of the function plays out, things like tilted steps on ladders or well tiled brick arrangements, and even the helmet's tail wagging while climbing a ladder, with a sword on the back.

Seeing those points, I give benefit of the doubt it's for a guy who knows what he's doing in most fields, but is cutting corners to save time in production, especially for a mere demo.

That being said, I'd roughly categorize this demo as a 7/10, but a 3/5. Should be interesting to see how the whole game turns out.
