I have to agree with OriginalCanadian, the episodes are small, and the information is hard to remember if you don't write it down, the player should be able to move tQuinn with the WASD keys, and the arrow keys. Those were the bad parts of the game on to the good parts of the game, the game was well done, the story grabs your attain and doesn't let go which is GREAT to have in games!
Reminds me on Twin Peaks :)
This is a great start, but I feel like these shouldn't be released in such short amounts. This made for about 3 minutes of gameplay once you get passed messing around with the options, and none of the decisions have ANY effect on the story. We really only accomplish four things as the player: Examine the reports and house (which don't tell you much), read the diary (which tells you something decent but not concrete), and talk to three people (which throws confusion into the mix). It's very lackluster; it's hardly even an introduction. It's like one moment I was getting my bearings on the controls and the next I was choosing who to arrest (without consequence, by the way). These really should've been released as one game instead of 4 small parts, or at least split it into 2 games so the player can deal with consequences and get to see if they actually like the game before getting cut off. Obviously the other games are out, but I'm just saying this as an afterthought.
The game is a little laggy, but I really like it so far! Right now I'm in near the beginning and hoping there aren't any jump scares because it's rated T. Then of course the Candyman scared my pants off. Who's the Candyman?
This game is great and compelling! However, I cannot load a saved file that I just saved a minute ago. Fortunately the introduction is short but good! Keep going! I love it so far!! =) However I did notice a couple of things that need to be addressed:
1) You've got to fix the error of being unable to load saved game. It gave me the option the first time in the main menu when I first loaded the game but did not provide the same options the second time.
2) After completing an episode, there is no way to go back to the main menu. You can only reload the game again which brought me back to problem #1. I encountered this in the "options" menu after I beat episode 1.
3) The episodes should be longer. I understand that this is a demo but even the first episode should be a lot longer. I found myself really getting into this game from the start and then just as quickly as I started, the episode was over, leaving me slightly disappointed but compelled to play more.
Other than that keep it up my friend!! I love games like this so great job so far =)
