Humpty Dumpty Abducted by Aliens

Author Comments

I originally made this one for my youtube channel based on a kids book story I self published at Amazon. It's about Humpty Dumpty the nursery rhyme egg character, who in my story gets abducted by two crazy aliens Zork and his brother Zork from planet Dork.

I appreciate any feedback I can get. I'm just now really getting into animation and I can use all the constructive criticism I can get.

Here's my book it's based on at amazon - http://amzn.to/1WtsuzJ

Am I right in assuming your using anime studio? That’s what I’m using too :-)
The animation starts off a little strange, the character walks onto the screen then does a little bit of a moon walk. The background looks like its all on one layer, I find it looks nicer to have the background separated out into multiple layers and then offset them on the z axis so when the camera pans across the scene the hills/mountains/clouds/whatever scroll at different speeds.

Fradycat15 responds:

Yes, I'm using Anime Studio. Still getting the hang of it. That sounds like a good idea with the layers. My first attempts at animating were with Blender, but I think Anime Studio is going much better.

I thought the graphics and animation where done very well. The voice acting and audio was great too. Keep up the good work!

Fradycat15 responds:

Thanks. It's great to get some feedback. Nobody ever seems to comment at youtube.

Not bad for someone whose just starting out. Only thing that kind of bothered me about the animation was in some spots it just felt stiff and a little lifeless, and in others, the audio didn't sync up with the character's lip movement. I'm sure you'll get better at adding some personality to your character's mannerisms the better you get at animating. Other from that I see some potential guy. Keep up the good work!

Fradycat15 responds:

Thanks. You are right there are times when my characters are kind of stiff. It's something I'm trying to get better at. I'm just now getting the hang of Anime Studio. Blender seemed a little too hard to get down. At first I was going to go with 3d models, but that was a huge pain for me.
