Here's what you can add:
You should add 2-player, 1 player top and 1 player bottom. You should also be able to use your own music and background, and change character. You should change the death sound and animation, it looks stupid. You should also add levels, and higher platforms you can jump onto via the ceiling or floor. For the characters, you should add something like coins, which you can collect, which act as currency.
