All right, but WHY do you start over all the way at the BEGINNING if you lose? Also, it's clumsy to get around corners because the character ("character", I mean it's just a square) doesn't seem to "slide" along the walls.

What are you talking about? It slides on the walls just fine.
Putting you back at the beginning gives you a motivation to not fail, if you do, you gotta do it over again.
well it doesnt get more simple than this
i encountered that you cant go through the gaps if the light blue squares are going down
you should fix that but overall descent submission
Really fun puzzle game, introduces elements without tutorials, really challenging.
