Good start to a game but it was to easy and only took me 20mins to completely beat the game

a good start in making games

This feels more like a game made for practice, or maybe a somewhat functional beta version to test if the code so far works, instead of like a fully fleshed out game. There are two reasons for this: Some game-elements are superfluous and the game is buggy.

The following was my experience playing the game to the end, spot what is wrong. 1: checked out what happens if I touch stuff and died almost immediately (7 coins or so). 2: I played until I got around 300 coins, then some clusters of eggs left me no escape option and I died several times in a row. 3: After purchasing a single speed and shield upgrade and some money upgrades I finished the game easily.

Here is what bothered me: The upgrades were completely unnecessary. There was no challenge to the game, it was just some random, slow enemies and I would only die to random chance or due to distractions. It felt more like someone wanted to try out a short level design and only put in the upgrade for something later in the game, but instead of completing the game they just slightly increased the duration of this single level, but still left the upgrades in.

This impression was strengthened by the visual bugs (the sprite would often moon-walk or simply show the standing animation while sliding around) and the functional bugs (sometimes after jumping I had to wait for a few moments before jumping again, the controls were a bit laggy, and the sprite would keep moving for a bit after I stopped pressing the button).

All in all, this is an extremely simplistic, unbalanced, generic game that just feels incomplete. Even the story itself feels a bit too short. (I’m happy that you did frame the game in a story, though, which is why I gave you a star at all. Also, the music was pleasant and unobtrusive, so you got that going for you. Another half of a star for that.)

not bad :)

Yeah the coin awards don't seem to activate rest have a brighter blue line then the coin ones even after beating the game. When you stop moving it takes your player like 1 to 2 full squares before he actually stops moving you also get screwed by those boxes if one drops on your head while you are trying to jump something as it will prevent you from jumping the box should be made to break when it hits your player. No little pause between damage so you can get killed by getting hit by piles of spam.

Hello,
We are checking the issues you mentioned, would you please send a screenshot of the blue line to my email? myplayyard@gmail.com
Thank you,
