Hey there!
Welcome back. After 13 months I'm pleased to not only bring you Act 2 of Chaos, but also a lot details on things to come further in the story!

Sonic and Tails make their way to Angel Island to ask for Knuckle's knowledge on Chaos Emeralds only to find it under attack!! Find out more about Dr. Robotniks creation that he himself is now a slave to and more details on just what "Project Master" is.

This one was a tough on to get just right. I had to make multiple cuts and shorten scenes because I reached the frame limit in flash. This original FLA file is basically a giant 2D Sonic Games library I started in 2005. There were many times were I attempted to split this file into new updated FLA's with a new version of Flash (now Adobe Animator) but the transitions always included errors with the amount of symbols and bitmaps from a decade of saving and editing. So I ultimately made a big decision to finish this act in its original file then continue the story with a new format.
Act 3 will be new exact widescreen dimensions, a revised frame rate, and be compiled into a brand new file and be built from the ground up. This does mean that all the previous animation and progress I have from years past on Act 3 (and further in the story) will be scrapped. Don't worry its not much... AND I'll be willing to give you a sneak peak of some of that original animation in about 3 months or so. (2/3/16)
I'm also happy to announce that I'll be working on a YouTube release in association with 1-Up Island and with that will come a remastered Act 1 as well. For now, Newgrounds gets first dibs, Don't let me down ;)

There is always room for improvement. This is obvious since you somehow got better in the time since episode 1, and that was already phenomenal!
Your use of action in dynamic fight sequences that create a spectacle without stagnating kept me at the edge of my seat the whole video.
The vocal work was great as well. Tails sounded young, but not the usual shrill nasally whine people often end up getting. Sonic sounded sure of himself without being a cocky showman and Knuckles was like if his character and behavior from the Sonic 3 and Knuckles were given to his Adventure voice actor. Robotnik was very angry in this, and I felt the actor sold that, but I still want him to have a nice panic or other high energy performance.
Then there's that Master Robot... The effects you put on his voice along with the voice actor's cold and mechanical delivery of the lines made him far more threatening, and the music chosen for this whole episode built the events' scope and severity very well.
At this point, saying your sprite work is good goes without saying, but I still have to say how refreshing it is in the oceans of bland or lackluster sprite animations I find a select few that flow organically and look like they bear physics.
I love your work, I can't wait for the next episode, and when this all done, I want to see what you continue to do.
