The first episode of a new horror series.

I at times suffer from crippling anxiety issues ( Generalized Anxiety Disorder ). Reading this offered me a moment of peace :)

creepy and nice game 5 stars !

This is amazing!
Personally, i hate novel stories, but i started reading all of this, and it is so cool!
I couldnt stop reading until i finished it, and its the perfect match between the voices, the music and the stories.
The "suspense-horror" line is nice, its a common subject that you used perfectly. The writing its concrete and exciting, adding this to the music, you make the player sink in an incredible mystery atmosphere.
I'm waiting now for ep 2!

<deleted> responds:

Yo thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Wow, I loved this! It's great, just as long as people playing it realize that it's a (short) visual novel.

I loved the writing, really original ideas, and so many of them!- especially loved the ones of videos online & the moths..
Horror's really subjective, but it was just the sort of thing that I love, I found its tone perfect... The interviewees sounded believable. Not telling too much or too little; a really disturbing atmosphere with just enough to tease you and leave you wondering. I'm glad it didn't have any jumpscares or anything, I think they would've ruined the carefully built up atmosphere and cheapened the mysteriousness.
The minimal music really suited it too, not too intrusive. You've got a real talent for writing :)

<deleted> responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This was very good. I listened carefully to all the stories and I did find them to be quite creepy and very "realistic" in how their narrators spoke about them. Excellent work!

<deleted> responds:

Thank you very much!

I just love it! Finally, closed caption for voices. I needed that. Keep up with the works!

<deleted> responds:

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Wow i actually like this
Except the the main screen and the sounds from the main screen
I guess it was intended to creep you out but honestly i didn't like it BECAUSE it did such a good job in creeping me out
All the stories were creative though
This managed to make me feel disturbed and i haven't felt disturbed in a while
I actually watched the second one first and then came to this one so...
Yeah, they were both disturbingly good
I hope you make more :)

<deleted> responds:

Wow, thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed it, and don't worry, I fully intend to make more.

Well it was pretty nice. Needless to say I want to criticise the things what could be better and that's the sound composition.

It felt like the music was at SOME points louder than the Voice actors. Or as same as loud.
Yeah. That's the only thing that could be better.

Otherwise you dide a great job. All!

4.5/5 Stars
Keep the work goin' You're good!

<deleted> responds:

Wow, thanks man! The sound composition should be better in the next episode, I think i am getting better at audio editing.

that was a great, loved the lovecraftian fragmentary style. i personally thought the stories were very creepy, the strangely surreal, but almost believable nature of the stories gave a realistic feeling to the story that is often missing in more straightforward horror. the last story was too quiet to hear, but had subtitles, so it wasn't much of a problem. i have only one suggestion, and i suspect you are working towards it anyway, i think the stories ought to tie together in order to reveal some sort of wider reaching phenomenon, while still retaining a certain degree of mystery about it. i very much look forward to seeing this series continue.

<deleted> responds:

I'm glad you liked it! To be honest, this episode came about mostly from random ideas that I was unable to form into full length stories. I think I might do a continuation of this story later, to try to tie everything together. Though for the next episode, it will just be 3 longer stories, without a wraparound story.

Im a little torn right now...

The stories were okay. I was really hoping for something that was gonna send a shiver up my spine or make it hard to sleep tonight, but they werent as creepy as I had hoped. Mildly weird if anything.

The audio was kind of all over the place. I understand you used different voice actors (kudos to all the NG users) and they probably sent you an audio file with a monologue that you wrote, but the mixing isnt great. I had to turn down my volume at one point because the audio was just insanely loud out of nowhere. Also, I heard "white noise" pretty frequently throughout the whole thing which is really distracting. That "Longmire" music you had was really distracting as well. Didnt fit.

I really liked the idea though and the background images were pretty good.
Im just a little disappointed that it wasnt as scary as I had hoped. As cliche as they are, I was REALLY gunning for a jumpscare AT LEAST. I think using the term "horror" shouldnt have been included in your description.

Really hope you vamp it up for the next episode.

<deleted> responds:

Thanks for your honesty, the next episode will definitely be different. I have already included a few jumpsscares, and sound effects. Two of the stories will be traditional horrors stories, and one will be a kinda just weird one like this. Thanks you very much for your feed back. I probably only use one voice actor per story from now on. I also go back to this one later and adjust the voices, maybe add some jumpscares too.

This was absolutely wonderful. I cannot wait for the next episode to come out, as it was completely capturing and suspenseful! I cannot wait to see where it goes from here!! I have a question, though.. where did you get the art?? It was beautiful and I was wondering what medium it was done on...it looked almost as if they were painted, but I can't be sure! As for anything to change, just minor grammatical errors were there (specifically at the end in the professor's story) and the professor's story, as mentioned in other comments, was a bit quite compared to the music. Overall, this is beautifully done!

<deleted> responds:

Wow, I am quite honored, most of the credit really goes to the voice cast though, they really brought it to life. As for the art, I just took stock photos and ran them thru a program called Fotosketcher. I try to fix the grammatical errors, and I will try to find a way to raise the voice volume on the last story. The next episode should be out very soon. Thanks for the kind words!

Not bad, but last story was a bit quiet, background music could use some variety, changes between stories could be faster and one or two minor differences between text and voice.

To Gyoku - This is a kinetic novel ( kind of visual novel without choices).

The stories were pretty good. The kind of short creepy stories you hear sometimes. My kind of stuff. The voice acting was excellent . Overall it was a decent length. There were a couple times the spoken dialogue didn't match the text. I'm not really sure what to think of the end of it. It seems to end abruptly.
Still I liked it and hope to see more in the future.

<deleted> responds:

I'm glad you liked it, I thought I fixed all of the voice/text inconsistencies, but I guess not. I'll try to fix that when I have some free time. And yeah, the voice actors did a great job, right?

I really liked the voice acting. Also, the professors story at the ending was a bit quiet, it wouldn't hurt to make it a bit louder.

<deleted> responds:

Yeah, all the voice actors did a great job, I'll work on raising the volume of the last story.

I wouldn't consider this a "game" it's more of a visual novel that it's quite entertaining for a little while...
Overall is quite good considering the limited production fees. Some sentences weren't dubbed for some reason, maybe it was the narrative part? The music was quite good for this kind of ambiance, I usually played with my guitar this way and started to imagine the stories behind the low sounds.

<deleted> responds:

Yeah, I know it's not really a game, but I figured it was more of a game than a movie. The messed up subtitles were entirely my fault, and should all be fixed now. And yeah, Sixteenth did an epic job on the music.
