Ah, if only I could get free stuff from vendors by solving puzzles - I wouldn't have to work.
A short and too easy game, typical from Carmel games a.k.a Deathtiger 0. Would get 3 stars from me as most of games by this author because of humor almost always present in these games. But there was no noticeable humor in this particular game. Also in this game the politically correct Happy Holidays greeting really annoyed me. These are pirates and the 8 hour work day didn't exist in their age. Political Correctness didin't exist then either. So don't make them saying Happy Holidays and make them say proper Merry Christmas. I have to deduct two halfstars for each of these issues.
Carmel's games don't have terribly intuitive puzzle-solving, so I find that their main appeal rests on three things: the bright and memorable graphics, the cheesy humor (I mean, you could make a grilled cheese sandwich out of 'David and Keithan') and--honestly--their cute female protagonists. In fact, I think that Carmel might be aware of this: Caroline from Vortex Point seems to have bigger knockers in every new installment.
This definitely applies here.
This one doesn't have a very common-sensical set of puzzles (I really only enjoyed the two puzzles sold by the other pirates), but it does have decent graphics, the odd funny joke (see the bartender) and...well, I'd buy Marcela's merchandise. All of it.
it has cute design
that's about it
I'LL buy her merchandise
