Lynn - Timelapse Illustration

Share Collapse

Hey, thanks for watching, this is a timelapse of an older drawing of mine. Initially I had some reservations - and still have some - with putting this here on Newgrounds, but I saw Shadman and Rhunyc put some timelapse drawings up and figured its cool to do, anyway I hope you enjoy!
To make this I used ink and crowquil pens on 11" x 14" Bristol.
Also feel free to mute me and put any music you'd like over it, the reason I don't put music in is mostly dealing with licensing.

I think this is a great idea. It's nice to know that we are more than our usernames. And what you had to say was very relateable. I feel like this is a fellowship working towards the good of art. Some of us stick around some of us quit when its hard in the beginning. But we just want to be better. That's the goal. I feel like you have reached somewhere in your art and I am glad that your humble scribbles have turned into these pieces dude!! that's truth and nobody can take that away from you.

SourCherryJack responds:

Thanks dude, I really appreciate it! That's the biggest thing about this site for me is the sense of artistic integrity and the vibe that a majority of the users here are in it for, and appreciate, the actual work that goes into creating art rather than the much more impersonal feel of the vast social mediascape.
And yeah, those little scribbles have matured quite a bit. The best thing about the art forum in my opinion, are the long running personal threads and going through those from time to time. Seeing where people came from and the gradual improvement page by page; it makes the future all the more exciting

It's perfectly fine, only thing missing is music, feel free to use any of mine.

Also bear in mind there's more then a bit of a double standard going here with these when it comes to pinups vs just art, please don't be too discouraged.

SourCherryJack responds:

Thanks! very much appreciate it, I'll definitely look into your music for future videos. And I am very aware of all the double standards here, haha.

You were right to assume that speed drawing videos were considered unacceptable on Newgrounds.

SourCherryJack responds:

Well Shadman seems to do just fine with them, so I figured why not throw mine up and see what happens.

i'd like to see more of these, seems like an interesting idea.

SourCherryJack responds:

Thanks man! There are a few more of these over on my youtube page, if this one goes over well here (doesn't end up blammed) I'll probably be rolling a few of the higher quality ones here.
