I didn't know if this is something I should post here or not as the final game won't be appearing on Newgrounds, but decided I should share it here anyway for people who are interested.
The first trailer for my RPG Maker game Shooty and the Catfish is finally here. The idea of this trailer is not so much to tell you anything about the story, but rather to establish the sombre tone the game will have.

The music is a track called Sarah from Darryl Chute's album Serenity.
I love the art style; the patterns, the hard angles on everything, bright, looks very pleasant but maybe something much darker? The music was a good choice as well and the limited sound effects worked as well
Is the game going to have the same visual style?

The game will feature this art style for combat and character portraits but use an 8bit aesthetic for the overworld. :)

You know I always enjoyed your animation style. Its amazing how far you've come as well.
I like to experiment, this stuff is pretty stripped down compared to what I have to do for work, but its also stupidly time consuming. I dunno, I would get bored if I wasn't always trying new things.
