Meet Oswald - he will be your dwarf today. He will work hard for you to earn you cash but in return you will need to buy him some new featured skills, sharpen his axe or forge him a new one. By doing that you will give him even more things to chop down.

Oswald will work for you even when you are not playing the game. It's incredibly strong and he never needs the rest or does he sleep. After you rest open the app and you will see how much money did Oswald earn for you.

Angry dwarf will chop and cut down literally anything. From dandelion, bamboo, Fort Know safe, GSM towers and more. There are 18 things you need to chop down, but first you need to get to them by upgrading and forging a new axe.

Game is equipped with exciting upgrades, forging of axes, and 18 type of "trees" that needs to be chop down.

Its a very simple game. 3/5

As far as idle games go, this one mostly lacks balance. Even if I were to leave the game running for a while, the money I bring in isn't enough to cover the upgrades that I need to purchase in order to make any kind of decent progress.

I like the mechanic of forging a new axe in order to progress, but the fact that it slows down the swings without the benefit of resetting the stat means it costs far too much to just idle.

I like the way that there is a range of values that the axe can be within, and that these values can also be upgraded. However, again the way it decreases other stats as I improve them(nice, but WAY too much) takes away from the value of increasing the stats.

TL;DR: The balance is off as you take 3 steps forward and 2 steps back with nearly every action/purchase IMO.

Frustratingly bad, even for an idle game.

The game is unbalanced. You upgrade forging skills which DECREASES you success rate so you have to increase your luck......
The axe swinging animation needs more keyframes. Considering it's the main animation, that's pretty poor.
You can't see your gold total on the upgrade screen. If it was moved down a little you could at least see it under the drop shadow....
It's hard to understand what your stats actual calculate into.
Chopping lower trees possibly gives you more gold per second but I couldn't be bothered finding out.
Video ads appear randomly, so you can't watch them during waits.
Video ads are too long and can't be skipped without loss of reward.

Decent music
I like the references in Oswald's speech bubbles.

Would be a great game, if I wasn't nagged to click the money bag to watch an ad that makes you real money. I mean don't you make enough from people buying your app already?

Oddly, I remember writing this about several games here over the years. hmmm

simonza8 responds:

Thanks for review. We make zero dollars from selling app - it's free - ads are only source of income. I have decreased ads-timer to 10 secs. I hope money bag won't be fun-killer anymore.

A slightly different take on the usual idle concept so that gets a couple stars from me.

What keeps it from getting more though is honestly there doesn't seem to be any point in going beyond the first tree at all from the way the stats/rewards scale goes.
