a small game about jumping around and other sketchy stuff
I liked. I thought it was funny that every time you jumped, it was like slamming the keys on a piano.
The platforming is functional, but crude and inconsistent in places. For example, the upper door has you using your boost jump from the start on the moving platforms, where everywhere else, only your second jump is boosted.
Apart from that, good work. You should make a bigger one at some point. No rush, though.

hello, glad you liked it! the boost jump thing was an ugly bug that i was too lazy to fix because my code was horribly ugly, but consistency is important, so i'll try harder with that next time.

the controls need to be posted, all i could do is jump, unless thats all you can do in this game...
i said "help him by pressing the arrow keys" implying that you use the left and right keys to move left and right but i guess not everyone wants to read ugly expositional text
Interesting. The weird backgrounds, the music and especially the tickling clock in the first room surely support the idea of a not-very-sane person. The overall atmosphere was the best thing on this game, aside from that, it was quite simple and short. But it is definitely something you could build on if you decide to create a more complex project.
for the most part, i don't think short is really a bad thing. most of the games that inspired me the most were long things, but a lot of them were also very short things. I think complex systems are good sometimes, but other times they can distract from the main point of things. Right now, i'm just trying to figure stuff out, i've been doing this stuff for about a year on and off, i feel like i'm starting to understand some things better, but i like the idea of doing lots of small things to figure out bits and pieces before i try a big thing. and ambition is weird, i'd rather know roughly where i'm going with something, and stick with that, rather than fill it up with stuff that doesn't feel necessary to me.

Despite the paintbrush-esque art, an interesting jumper to play. Maybe, it becomes more than a jumper later on, but too hard to get there, sorry :D
