Author Comments

Dr.Drakenstein abducted Garry since he was a bear cub. He kept Garry in his huge castle as the lab rat of his newest experiment. One night, Garry had a chance to make his escape but the castle was so large and full of traps.

Help Garry escape every levels by walking, jumping, opening gates, destroying boxes, and evading traps. There are also some potions that can change Garry's characteristic and ability. Drinking the right potion at the right time will ease his way out of that spooky castle.

You did something wrong. This game runs slow as f*ck. A game with this graphics shouldn't do that.

nice game

Nice graphics and music. Nicely atmospheric. Smooth controls. So the look and feel was all good.

Puzzle design was pretty nice, in my opinion, with a well-executed level of challenge. The backtracking did not frustrate me so much as it did other reviewers because often the backtracking formed part of the puzzle itself. Sometimes you need to backtrack but only partially - sometimes you have to realise that pressing a switch has made it *possible* to backtrack. So you still have to think a bit. Brainless backtracking is boring, but there's less of that. The thing that frustrated me more is having to redo large chunks of a long level (which is brainless activity) because I died right at the end - that's frustrating.

Two complains. PLEASE DON'T PUT A USEFUL ACTION KEY RIGHT NEXT TO THE RESET KEY! Lost track of how many times I accidentally reset the game while trying to punch. And, although I appreciate this in some ways worked as part of the gameplay, forcing players to make blind jumps can get irritating - how are we meant to know if it is a blind jump we are "meant" to make, or not? It's more frustrating if you've already done a bit of grindwork to get to that point, and taking a leap of faith can cause you to have to redo it all if it's not the correct choice! I have less objection to where it is used cunningly at the very start of a level.

This runs to slow on my laptop for me to play it could you include the option to change quality, other submissions run fine so im not sure what the problem is.

I'm going to disagree with some of the negative reviews. I thought the puzzles took time and thought to get through.

Aesthetically it wasn't the most stunning game I've ever played, but I thought it looked close enough to a fair amount of indie games. I actually thought the having to be mindful of other potions while playing was fair game and lead to me having to restart a few times.

I dug that. I played it all the way through, and would play a second version of this game if one came out.
