It's an addicting game and for some reason or another kept my interest long enough to beat the game despite my typical ADD behavior on this site. Some things that will lower the score are the occasional bugs I ran across throughout the game -- randomly changing direction without hitting a wall and broken level select being the major ones. Also some more variety in music would be nice because the one and only track here get's a bit heavy on the ears after a while.

The game is pretty good and I haven't found any bugs except for one: I'm on the level select screen, but I can't seem to go to the next page of levels after having already unlocked them. The arrows on screen are not functioning for me.

Thanks, it's a mobile port as someone eluded to and I was so excited to move on to another game that I didn't give the GUI enough respect. I'm really happy to have feedback from you! Thanks :)

Needs work. Camera lags behind so you can't see ahead enough. The up/down view is almost non-existent and makes the game unplayable.

Buggy: if you slam the top of a side-spike box, you die. Level 3, you can win if you hit the right side of the box.

Annoying: night levels introduced at level 4. Hidden spike in level 5.

The graphics are basic with flat colours. Music was too loud so I can't give an opinion on it.

Also, it's clearly a mobile port.

I like the trail Ms. Mallow leaves.

lbranjord responds:

Yes you are right on almost all of your comments. I think of this game as a "heat check" to see if it has enough positive reviews/downloads etc. I guess I planned to make it as small as possible so I could get some feedback.

Thanks for playing and for a really in-depth review. I value it, even the CONS really help.

I love the art style of this game, it's so cute and creative! But the song gets dull after a while, and the level select is a jumbled mess, and doesn't show all of the levels.

Since it's got an arcade feel to it, it really doesn't need a story but it still leaves you wondering what's going on.

Over all it's a decent game, but it seems like you could have added more to the game mechanics. Like a varied jump height depending on how long you hold the button, some more interactive objects, and enemy attack patterns.
Good job.

lbranjord responds:

Yes the game has a terrible untested GUI due to being a mobile port. I was desperate for feedback and pushed it out quick and moved on to the next game. So sorry you had to put up with that. I also planned on additional features, should it gain any positive reviews or downloads. I think between this and android, I should be able to tell whether it needs a full build out or whether it was another learning step for me as a developer.

I appreciate your feedback a lot!
