It is a metaphor that we are dust .
the cartoon was ok, but the intro with the tank is way too long. It's twice as long as the kid part of this cartoon. There are many times in the intro when nothing is happening and nothing is moving. You should remove those part, as they just make the intro drag on. Try to make it 30 seconds and it'll be ok, but it's so much longer than the story in your animations!
