Typical game, but the story sucks.

What the hell?
So the first thing I realize is that you apparently just throw away everything that you worked so hard to acquire and just keep your cell phone. Then your parents show up because you found a fortune and they want you to "give it away." You just know that they are going to keep it for themselves and cut you out of it.
One of the things that you need to do is collect like thousands of dollars worth of prescious stones and trade it away for a crappy camera so you can complete the main story. WHAT KIND OF CELL PHONE DOESNT HAVE A CAMERA THESE DAYS???
Of course to find the blue gem you need to rifle through bottles of alcohol that now clutter what used to be a smoothie shop. To find the red gem you need to ignore safety warnings and mess around with high-voltage whatever-those-ares.
Plus, where is everyone? It's like everyone left because the island sucks now.
At least you get on TV at the end. Remember kiddies, getting on TV is the most important thing in life. Abandon all the things you worked for and leave your family behind if a sketchy TV executive comes by and offers you fame. Even if your greedy parents need to sign the contract, there is nothing more special than being on TV.

Such a good series. I got a speed run time of 101 seconds.

Renegade? Man, I built that water wheel, I can touch it whenever I feel like it. Also, why should they let me go? I got a chest full of gold coins, that's why! I'm allowed to build a town almost by myself, but not go on a TV show?

It was an okay game but.
Isn't the music copyrighted tho? That was without a doubt the Destiny Islands soundtrack from Kingdom Hearts.
