I like the creativity in it but Its too fast for us to make decision One example if you are looking to expand on it. Is to Put it in a levels such as get the egg and have it slow down and slowly ramp up as the level progresses and the real score could be the timer on how long you survived

Lay path down through the forest to collect the rare monster eggs! The Forest Guardians will do everything to stop you though so don't get caught!
Deceive the monster by running him into traps to hold him in place. When he breaks out though he's coming for you!

Hey pal glad you mildly liked it! I did have that initial idea of speeding up the player and making them have to collect things or die and for the version I plan to create for mobile I will probably go that route. The Jam's theme was 'deception' however so I needed to have some form of that in there.

I cannot get used to the arrangement of different pieces: straight path on the side, right turn on the left or top or whatever the current orientation is.

I personally found through testing that it was easier for the finger (or mouse) to go left or right than up or down. Considering the most commonly used pieces are the horizontal and vertical roads I placed them on the sides.
Nice, but i dont understand the relation with "deception".
And the jam deadline was some hours ago :p
