BUG is a action platform 2D game where the player controls a robot created to destroy things, but a bug in your program changes his computer mind to good. And now, afraid of the others robots, he needs to get out from the factory where they all were created. The player will face other robots besides the obstacles from the factory, such as fire, fake grounds, pistons that may crush anything bellow, all this to take BUG, name adopted by the robot himself, out of that scary place. For that objective the player will use Bug's skills, like jump or turn to sphere to pass trough the obstacles and use his plasma gun to destroy enemies. Some items will be hidden in the stage that may help Bug in his journey.

UPDATE 1 - 15 - JUN - 2015 - Add Checkpoints in the middle of stages.

UPDATE 2 - 20 - JUN - 2015 - increased space between the pistons in second and third levels.

Bug é um jogo desafiador na medida certa. Ele traz consigo uma nostalgia que vai agradar quem passou horas jogando Mega Man ou outros jogos de plataforma lançados nos anos 80 e 90.
O personagem é carismático, e a pequena introdução é suficiente para que a gente embarque na história.
Os comandos têm boa resposta, e os gráficos cumprem o seu papel, pois em nenhum momento "quebram" a diversão.
Parabéns aos desenvolvedores. Continuem o ótimo trabalho.

The game's definitely a good play. The protagonist is lovable, the controls are good, there's just a few tings that are wonky.

-There's something with the physics of the spinning wheel that makes it so BUG drops while he's on it, this prevents you from jumping in a timely fashion.
-The platforming is a bit clunky and frustrating. See if you can smooth out the controls a bit.
-The game has a bit of a problem of not being able to perform three functions at once (say, running jumping and firing at the same time) which is a pretty crucial task for defeating the end boss.
-The crushers and Tesla coils are placed in very dickish spots and very frustratingly spaced. I lost no lives to any of the enemies save the bossbot 4000 (mlgpro420blazit blah blah blah, heard it all before) but every life not lost on the boss was lost to a hazard.

Diagnosis: Controls and physics definitely need smoothing for platforming's sake. Tesla Coil and Crusher sequences either need to space the things out more or have save points directly after 'em. And for god's sake teach BUG to shoot upwards. <.< Don't let 'em suffer like Megaman did all those years. He deserves better.

I agree with an other review, gfx, sound, animations are great. But add checkpoints and maybe a savefeature. This game is worth it to add more features
