RHG Battle between Arumazu's Dax and Chinmay's GK!

This is my first submission to Newgrounds! I hope you like it, and I'll take any criticism!

I do not own the music.

Not a bad fight! The weapon-weilding variations were an interesting touch, and the dialog adds characters, even if the animation overall feels a bit simple. Nothing bad with simple though, was a mostly fast-paced and ferocious fight! Nice work.

Arumazu responds:

Couldn't think of a more way to say thank you!

Very nice! perhaps make the background a part of the scene or make it feel less plain.
I loved the sfx the most and the artwork was very nice. Keep going :D !

Very nice. :)

My only problem was that there were unnecessary pauses between 2-second action bursts.

There was a 2- second action blip, then a 1 second pause. 1/3 of the time, they were standing looking at each other.

Also, I feel that during the running scene, you showed their legs too much.
I'm unsure as to whether showing their legs (after their eyes and just before their clash) added that much to the suspense, and you showed too much of them.

Also, some of the moves (a strict minority) were unnecessarily showy or unnatural.

I wrote a lot, yeah, but that tends to happen when you're nitpicking. ;)
Very, very good animation. 5 stars. :D

Arumazu responds:

Actually, the looking at and running scene was actually a refrence to the NES ninja gaiden! I only added it in for some cool points at Stickpage. :) However, I can see where you're going at, thanks for the constructive criticism!

For a first this is pretty nice! I also like your sounds, it seems like you took some time to make sure your SFX are good. The sounds on my first animation were pretty crappy xD

A suggestion from me is to make the background feel more alive. The most simple way to do this is by making the clouds in the background slowly drift as they fight. And perhaps put some trees and stuff unless you purposely wanted the place to feel barren. Which is fine.

Arumazu responds:

Good point about the clouds, I'll be sure to impliment that into my next animation!

Very good stickimation, keep up the great work!
