Happy Good Friday to all.

The cartoon bit starts about fifteen seconds in, fyi.

The true story of Jesus Christ and the legend of the cross. Serpents, temptation, and crucifixion all play into this Good Friday Tale. So listen in as Winston W. Wifflenanny III tells us the timeless tale of Jesus P. Christ.

This is something of a remake of a cartoon I made many years ago. I decided it had more potential compared to the effort I put into it, so we did a rewrite and started anew. The old one took only a day, but this one took a few weeks.

I like the feeling of it, the live action intro and outro was nice. The cartoon was a little funny but i feel like the punchline could have been a bit stronger. I'm fine with the content and the animation was pretty good.

Lambtaco responds:

A lot of it is more amusing than laugh-out-loud funny, I suppose the pnchline could have been more impactful, but I'm a big fan of anticlimax, sometimes to the detriment of my videos.

Thanks for the critique.

nice try but no this is not apprpiate at all and offends alot of people

Lambtaco responds:

I think it's plenty appropriate. It's a cartoon about the crucifixion for Good Friday, seems like a fit.

The way I see it, if people are offended it's their problem and not mine. It's just a silly cartoon; there's no need to take it so seriously. This is Newgrounds for Christ's sake. If this offends people I think a visit to the Religion Collection would probably kill them.

I didn't expect it, but I actually liked it. It has a Monty Python vibe that I really loved. The animation is quite good, with some occasional details that managed to surprise me. Overall, perhaps it may not be perfect, but as far as tone and comedic intent goes, I think you hit the nail on the head. Great work !

Lambtaco responds:

Thanks. I was thinking more Looney Tunes when I was making it, but that's mostly because of the lack of dialogue resulting in a need for expressive animation. With the book ends on it I can definitely see the Monty Pythonness (the accent especially). That and the Life of Brian silly Christianity stuff without explicitly mocking or condemning anything by name.

Thanks again.
