******************************* This is part 4 or a 5 part series! ******************************

It's day 4 on Earth. You managed to make contact to your home planet. Now you know that you need a large diamond to power the craft. Good luck and have fun playing!

How does a child know how to build a diamond detector

selfdefiant responds:

Alien intelligence!

Still the same message at the end. ;) But anyway, another good segment, and we finally get to see who we're playing as too when he rides that bike! Onto the final segment...

-cd-

Fiddling with things in the inventory to build the diamond detector was fiddly and didn't always work (I had to keep jumping in and out of inventory - annoying). Why the KID gave the alien instructions for a diamond detector is bizarre - wouldn't it be more likely the alien gave the kid instructions?

It is annoying that every object you inspect cannot be rotated... yeah I got stuck because I didn't realise you could rotate the mug. I guess it should have been obvious (it did have an incomplete sentence on the front half). That said it still feels like a cheap trick that it is the INTERFACE that is making the game difficult. Since not all objects can be rotated, IF an object can be rotated there should be a rotate button.

Also the mug reads "I love ANDRY". Are you trying to be insulting to people who live in trailers (by suggesting they cannot spell the name of the person they love)?!? You should try cryptic crossword clues like: "Leaders All New Dogs Require Yelling mixed" or "New AN DRY". If you used a different password, then you could have had "I love new CALEB" on the side of the mug (the password being CABLE).

Tombstone puzzle was tricky. Thought the clue on the tombstone was ridiculous because it was obviously a clue (oh look the third letter and third number are coloured...). Seriously: clues shouldn't be so obvious - yes, we all know that the fact that you have some tombstones with names and numbers, that it probably is a clue - but that is no reason for you to make it SOOO obvious with coloured number & letter, and even a matching in-game comment. What would have made more sense would be to have the tombstones as one would expect (no letters/numbers coloured differently), but then inside the mine you find a photograph of Bob's tombstone with "b" and "8" circled - as if someone else has tried to crack the puzzle, but only got the first number ;) I know its a small change - but should help to make the game feel a little more "real world".

Never-the-less, this series (Escape Area 15) has been a fun (if momentary) distraction so far.

Not saying that the game is bad but, why is still called escape area 15? We are already out

selfdefiant responds:

You are never really out. :)

Initially, I thought there might be a place to assemble a diamond detector, but I couldn't find any. So, I clicked each item in the order of the list and I made it.

Thanks to the walk through, I couldn't figure out how to generate a 4-digit number from D and 5 and the rest of the gravestones. Did I miss a clue or something?
