Eugene the Bean no longer wants to be treated like wussy leftovers, a real Beany Weenie. His goal is to rise to the top! To some day be a real Macho Burrito and be fresh on the scene in the world of bean.
Eugene joins a tournament known as the Battle Bean competition knowing full well what he is getting into: Anthropomorphic food knocking heads in an all out grudge match!
He is putting his jumping and bopping skills to the test! Perhaps he'll throw in some mixed martial arts if he has time! Here he will go head to head in a competitive battle with the other hot shot brawler beans in the circuit.
The goal is to see who can score most on an opponent in a ruthless competition of knocking the Battle Bean(Pinto) into the ol' tin can. A level is complete when a score of 10 is achieved.
This is the demo version of a construct 2 game I've been working with off and on since last year. I'm primarily interested in creating comic art, so my vision for this is to create a game that tells an interactive story with comic books. I also like creating games that are competitive. The later expanded version will hopefully have more characters and animations, along with more unique special attacks.

Horrendous. The controls hardly work, the second opponent teleports around, the third one is a wall, and if you fail, you go back to the beginning. Not worth even half a star.

Its glitchy but its funny :p

Concept wise it's funny and could probably be pretty good. However I got stuck off screen while fighting the first guy. I couldn't do anything and I had to wait for Garbanzo to score (which he didn't I might add). I won't bash this game too much because I'm pretty sure this game could be pretty fun if I could actually play it without getting stuck off screen. Please fix this or at least make the camera view a little bigger.

Decent, it certainly gives a challenge, but there is a lot of jumpiness that makes it more annoying then difficult. And the way the 'ball' will suddenly stop for seemingly no reason, and when you shoot you only go one way, meaning you can't go back as fast as you can go forward. Otherwise it's a pretty cool game.

From what I see so far of the game, it has the intentional to be pretty fun. HOWEVER, I noticed a few game breaking bugs.

1. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but the camera always seems to focus on the ball. If I knew where my character was at ALL times, it will be a whole lot more fun.

2. The speed boost. Whoo boy. From my experience, it always seem to boost you towards your enemy's basket. However, if I want to quickly get on the defense (which I should be able to!), I can't. Now, don't take this personally, but I don't know if this is due to ignorance, laziness, or both.

Other than that, if you decide to work on this some more, I'll suggest adding Splitscreen two player, and to fix the 2 very noticeable bugs/features.

The art is EXCELLENT as well. Really puts you in the mood for a bean showdown!

Thanks for playing and the response. I was thinking of using the speed boost option in use with a power up, like a "Hot Pepper" that would appear on the stage. I liked the idea of each of the characters having their own special moves unique to them in the game instead, so I left it in as a play option for the Eugene character. I think the idea of a two player split screen is a great one. Perhaps it's an option I can add for a more expanded version, with a choice of various playable characters.
