I got stuck at one point early on-still no idea how to move on, but I feel like this would be getting higher ratings than it is-it's good.

Well i surely do.. and here is something to feed others with same apetite.

THIS WILL BE CLOSED SOON :) I RENAMED THE GAME TO "PUNYMAN" AS A CLOSEST OPPOSITE FOR MEGAMAN AS I COULD THINK OF... HAPPY TESTING! STILL A DEMO! :)
CONTROLS: (only keyboard so far..)
ARROW KEYS MOVE THE PLAYER AROUND
Z = Shoot or hold the sword, also makes the guy run faster and that will allow you to jump higher.
X = Jump.
When holding the sword you can point it up/down/left/right.
You can also use the sword to bounce from ground etc.

Small upgrades, graphics and the intro level are a bit more nice now. Also to the guy who commented first, i made it possible to pickup a helm item at the intro level that will give you a shiny armor and helmet :) This is what i had in mind for later but well, i can make a ton of different armors for the guy like this :) thank you all for the good feedback!
There sure will be a lot more to be done.

This demo KINDA has the first overworld area ( very early)
AND one dungeon with a BOSS FIGHT.
Game will end after you finish the boss so nothing to do after that yet..

Im updating the game almost on daily basis :) where did you get stuck and how? Did you try the running jump? (hold z to run ) Did you get the DUCK WALK item and then try holding DOWN and one of the left or right arrows? ;)
TODAY i will be adding a small tutorial style section that will explain the sword, shield, jumping etc :)
Not bad, seems like a fun little game

It can work. Jumping needs to be ironed out though (depending on if you're running the jump changes hight) also I can't reach the ladder after beating the skull enemy. Also, this game needs some uniqueness. It's fairly bland at the moment (mainly because this has been a genre that has been prevalent for almost as long as games themselves). Consider re-skinning the art to make it look more interesting.

You can access the ladder by jumping from the platform at right, you need to run fast tho! Hold the sword with z = will make you allso run faster and jump higher. :) The intro level is very early, i have been making the first dungeon as the first priority so far.

It's preety good but the main charecter is too dark put some clothes on maybe ... :/ But i liked it ! Make full version!
