UPDATE: The game can take a little while to load, and some sections appear to lag, particularly the last scene where the characters say bye. This will be fixed if the application is made fully. :P

A educational game about shapes for children ages 3 and up! Come along with Hamish as you find out about circles, triangles, squares and rectangles!

This application is for a final year project at Sheffield Hallam University. It would be /very/ much appreciated if helpful comments were left on this. Do you feel this would be effective in learning? Does the amount of characters impact the game? (i.e more/ less needed?) Any improvements needed?
This project may be developed further for other subjects, but also where this would be available is yet to be decided. Do you think it would be best uploaded onto mobile applications, online, or altered to be a video series on Youtube?

Thank you so much for playing! Please share, especially if you know of parents with young children who would play this! :P

Wonder what those other three sections are going to be about? Though I'm far past the intended age group for this, it was pretty fun! I like how you can click all icons, both the shapes to get an audio presentation, and those other items for simple entertainment. Would've been neat if all click-able items had a custom sound along with the animation though, instead of stars and the sound effect accompanying it, maybe a sound effect and transition that has to do with said object? Like a muching sound for the pizza slice, a more suitable instrumental for the triangle triangle, etc.

I'm also not sure the pronunciations are as clear as they can be. For 3 y/o in particular I'd think it's important everything is easy to hear. Interface and typography could probably be a bit bolder; aesthetic too, maybe borders, centered text in boxes, solid colors or patterns for background (you could have moving backgrounds too, like a subtle field of scrolling shapes, etc), things to spice up the visuals a bit! It's not bad though. As for format, I'd think a game's the most fun form assuming the intended age group can actually click their way through it (and read). Always more fun when it's interactive. Nice work!
