For those of you who want the finer things out of older versions of flash. Flash 8, in particular!

Enjoy, dudes.

A good tutorial here and good training elements it does get a bit dated but still a fun idea here

This is a nice tutorial all about Flash 8. Graphics looks nice and sharp. Everything makes sense, and there is no sense of confusion. However, it's just a tutorial so there isn't much fun or replay factor at all.

A tutorial for the pinnacle of all versions Flash! I think I started with MX 2004, but this is definately the one version I've spent most time on. Never did learn everything from the ground up, so browsing through here there's plenty of revelations, like differences between = and == and what that mythical vcam extension really is. All presented in a simple; entertaining manner, with plenty of examples, both animated and interactive, character, instructions that are easy and fun to follow... but the pen tool, isn't that the one you use for drawing vectors? That pretty important tool I'm starting to ponder I might be confusing with the alternative version within other programs like Fireworks and Illustrator hmm. Anyway, great tutorial! Packed more content than I'd expected.

Cheers, dude.

Thats just exactly what I need. You've probably saved my ass with school exam (and my other classmates probably too) 'coz I am way too lazy to read some Fl books :D

Hoped the actionscript part will be more extensive tho. Well maybe in next version, right?

Also been going through this tutorial for some time now and still diggin' the music!

Hey, it's great that my old stuff helped someone out. Coding is a little sparse, but now I've had a formal education on that topic, I can see some pretty glaring flaws in what I did. Who knows, maybe one day I WILL make a new version. Still, there's always the internet.
