Another good piece of interactive art; really like your work and the wry and off-beat humor.
'Shave your pet agenda', LOL
Sydney's Siberia is an interactive artwork, an infinitely zooming/clicking mosaic comprised of 150 text/image tiles, which combine and recombine as you click and move and click. The work is thematically attached to the exploratory and recombinatory nature of networks, how small worlds are hidden within the larger and ever changing mosaic of the net.
The images come from Newcastle and the Gold Coast, cities just close enough to major centres to feel their magnets and filter their unwanted, a cities stuck between desire and geography, old industrial and modern tourist towns filled with strange stories and hidden histories, but struggling to find some future beyond coal and steel, beach and nightblubs.
Each tile of this addictively clickable digital poem is a small ficto-history or poetic retelling, and artistic rethinking, signs of the difference between. And as each new mosaic is formed, the viewer must search for what they haven’t seen and find new connections to what continually re-arrives.
