really fun ,, really addicting ,, and really hard(thats what she said)

This is a nice game it has some errors here and there the other reviewer said some but I love the game to death thank you for this game really :D

A tomb, yes. But not an amazing one. More like a mediocre one with random floating ice platforms with spikes and zombies and rising lava. (Okay, so... Zombies in a tomb. I wouldn't complain if it was a mummy).

[Gameplay]

Where to start? *sigh* Oh boy.
Well, for one, the tutorial was very superficial. It didn't tell me why I should collect coins, are the upgrades permanent or just temporary, are there power-ups for me to buy, it just told me to jump.

The hit detection is very odd. I've jumped trough spikes at least two times now. A zombie passed trough me, and I touched a ghost's trail while jumping up, and I didn't die!
I slipped off of the platform, and I could still jump up but I didn't know that. I panicked, while pressing up. I jumped trough the platform into the spikes.

I found a heart, picked it up and progressed. I died shortly afterwards. After I revived, I tried to click the pause button because I was unsure if it'll last forever and I had something to do. It dropped me from the pause button (without pausing the game) onto a ghost. What the hell was that?

I got the tiniest platform possible in the game, and you put a long ice platform with spikes under it right above me? Is that jump even possible? Another example of bad placement (or generation) is that you put a platform almost all the way to the left, and the other almost all the way to the right, making it impossible without a jetpack.

Speaking of jetpacks, their mechanic is strange. I got the jetpack, it seems fine. I press up, I slowly ascend, then a few miliseconds afterwards, I propel to the top of the screen! I died because of spikes on the platform.

Your magnet has the weirdest game mechanic ever. I have to face the coin for it to be attracted to me. I mean, it's realistic, you got that right. But if I fall off a platform while doing that, the coin will just awkwardly float there in the air.

Your gun mechanic is a bit weird as well. When I first appear, I can fire two shots. But if I jump and switch sides like a maniac, I can shoot a lot faster.

As for your hard hat, I just bounce back down from the spikes, but if I get a shield I can bypass that for some reason.

About the ice platforms: It just increases the effect you get when you land on a normal one. On a normal one, you sort of just slip away. I've lost many lives to that.
Also, regarding the jump: I can't stress this enough, it doesn't matter if you just make a gentle tap to the up arrow or a long poke, the character will have the same jump distance, sort of glide down.

[Story]

No story. Period.

[Sound]

There's a loop in the background, that sounds so familiar. I can say, without a doubt, that you did not compose it yourself. The loop only plays while you're jumping, and there's another loop in the menu.

[Addictiveness]

I would probably play this again, out of a joke. Okay, so you had me going for all the power-ups and upgrades. But 90% of that was fueled by my will to completely review this game. So it's not really addicting, in my opinion.

[Graphics]

8-bit graphics. I like them. Although it seems to me like you people just took the assets of some random engine and made a game out of it.

[Depth]

Three power-up upgrades. All for length. Four items to buy, but you can only use one at a time. We could call it three, since they put shiny golden sunglasses in there. The game can go to infinity, as long as I can tell. There's a special event where some random tiki-shaman can appear and cast a spell. So far, I've seen three spells. Fireballs from the lava, zombie horde and more ice platforms.

[Difficulty]

Well. Counting in that the hit detection is weird, this game is not of medium difficulty in my book.
With the power-ups, of course, but I don't think that the difficulty would change if I played without them.

[Overall]

As I said: it looks like you just grabbed some assets from a game making engine and slapped it on a program used for an example. On a Newgrounds scale, I give you a 2/5. On my scale, it's 3/10.

A tester ;)

Wish all those achievements had actual on-site medals to match! It's a pretty fun game, easily addicting and with plenty of reward, and love the crisp pixel graphics too. Nice work!
