Walkthrough
-------------
1. Pick up the fruit cake in the first room.
2. Read the advent calendar. The symbols correspond to the correct answer of the safe in the workshop.
3. Talk to Sparkles a bunch of times, and he'll give you a note. The note is a clue for the chess puzzle in the same room.
4. Go to the drummer boy and hit his drum five times. Rum tum tum tum. It will break. Take the key from inside.
5. Use the drummer boy key to open the cabinet in the workshop. Get the first bauble from the cabinet.
6. Use the fruitcake to smash the glass to get the lights.
7. Solve the chess puzzle to get the second bobble. (Answers are below if you can't figure it out.)
8. Solve the advent calendar puzzle to get the second bauble.
9. Read the paper next to the terminal. It contains the answer to the terminal password.
10. Enter the terminal password and the lights will turn on.
11. Put the lights and all three baubles on the tree.
12. Plug the tree in.
13. Talk to Sparkles and he'll give you the star.
14. Put the star on the tree.
15. Go back to the first room and a present has appeared. Get the bad ass key from the present.
16. Put the key in the ignition of the sleigh.
17. Have a merry christmas.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback and checking out some of my older games!
Good but the chess piece puzzle suffered in too many ways so I have to say that puzzle was a fail. Next time make the centerpiece puzzle more solve-able without having to grasp for straws.
well thought out. I didn't understand the chess puzzle, though. How do those names correspond?

roy - french for king. rena - french for queen (close), lance - a weapon commonly used by knights, bishop, the actual name of the chess piece. penny - sounds like pawn, rook - the only piece not mentioned

Thanks for the walk through, I couldn't solve the chess puzzle without it. First, I don't know how to play chess. Second, I couldn't understand how the names were related to the chess pieces.
