Update #1: It has come to my attention that some users are having problems playing the game. This is my first upload to Newgrounds and I'm not exactly sure what the problem is.
You can try playing the game on my site here: http://playelement.dariusmalexander.com/
Update #2 : Thank you all for playing!
There seem to be too many problems with this version of the game.
After Judgement, I will go back to the drawing board and make improvements in accordance to comments/ suggestions and upload an improved version.
Controls
Move: A , D
Shoot: Left Click
Change Element : Right Click or Q , W , E
Element is a triple threat, combining mechanics from, Galaga, Brick Breaker, and Paper Scissors Rock. Your goal is to help re-balance the elements of the world by shooting their opposing element at them. The game is story driven, and as you progress you’ll discover that things aren’t as simple as they first appear.
mmm... 4 stars for sakura (:
Thanks for playing!
I played way crappier games, but it just doesn't catch me. Sorry dude...
Well I can't please everyone! :)
Do you have any suggestions on what could be improved?
Thanks for the comment !
This game isn't ready. Words can't be read, and it is hard to understand how it actually works.
I don't recommend.
I think I know how to makes things a little easier to read.
What exactly were you having trouble understanding? The controls? Maybe what you were supposed to do at a particular time?
Thanks for the comment.
I think you may have bitten off much more than you can chew with this game. It's extremely distracting and hard to keep up with, and I think that unity was unnecessary for this game. You focused too much on the visual aspect with this game. Next time try something with a little less anime. Half a star for effort.
You're right, this game doesn't require Unity, but I wanted to practice the engine. By distracting, I'm sure you mean the changing backgrounds right? Well I guess so, I can change that completely or probably add in an option to turn it off.
What exactly do you find hard to keep up with though? The pace of the game, or perhaps its just the frequently changing background that throws everything off?
Thanks for the comment.
