Hello and welcome to Sketchy Songs on Saturday.
This is a series where I (Pelle) will collaborate with one artist a week, to write, record and film one whole song. Up until now I've only made normal videos but a few days ago I decided to make an 8bit shoot em up video.
I spend the last two days animating this short music video.
The music you hear has been made on a commodore 64 synthesizer using a Roland midi system on guitar. It was written together with Igor Linken.

wow! you collab with an artist 1once a week?! thats banehnehs! i don't know how composers collab though although it's not unheard of. i don't know how to use a commodore 64 synthesizer but i do know how to use famitracker. it's like one of those module trackers like modplug tracker.
ugh. it just won't finish loading. im sorry i cant' finish watching it. but it's pretty good. no real melody but definitely has that video game feel to it. and no drums? i remember the commodore 64 having drums. or does it cost a useable track which can be used for an instrument that isn't a drum?

Yeah once a week. This one was really hard work though. Won't be making an animation again soon. Two full days of work. And most of the times we just sit and write together, that's it really.
I didn't even knew about the existence of Famitracker! Awesome, I'm going to use that one as well.
Sorry about the not being able to load thing. It's 3.1 mb because I wanted the music to be of a certain quality. There are drums though (and bass) but you need headphones to hear them properly :)
