Consdering the Christmas secret's still on the main menu if you click the demon, and the background hacks, and you get a 'game over' message even when you win, it feels like the effort put into this one was a bit lacking. Even if uses the same engine, you could at least test for errors between games right? I do like the background, and music, but it's not much of a change.

This game has ONE redeeming quality, and that is the music (and I assume that was from some royalty free music web site). "Horrible pun intended to be spooky..." No pun was spooky, In fact, nothing was spooky. The graphics (apart from the background) was bad (also from some royalty free web site?). Too little variations in enemies, and almost no animations and when you beat the game, the game over screen pops up without warning. For a while I thought I read wrong on the health bar, and that the gargoyle had died. Needs a proper intro screen, options and credit screen...
... and everything else.
The description in your hard completion medal says: "-Bear- the game on hard"
Well, it wasn't really groundbreaking stuff, but I didn't have to -bear- it.
It's an OK side scroll shooter, though pretty... basic.
Lots of problems with hitboxes, that aren't well defined.
Other than that, it's a 2/5 and is rightfully here amongst every other game.
Well. This is a pretty simple game, and there's really nothing in it that hasn't been done before. It's pretty easy in general, and the story is pretty generic too.
That aside, I still enjoyed the game. It's simple fun; you don't really have to think about what you're doing. The controls are pretty smooth, and I actually liked the sound effects (although the might not be the most professional XD).
I like the theme as well, just in time for Halloween, and the artwork is well done :p

really easy, just hold the space bar and you will (almost) never get hit, the background... the music itself is good
I didn't like the sound effects. So is a "not good game"
