Not a bad game, especially for a Flash player race game.
I like the "Rally" idea for a race game, that's what made me check it out. It reminded me a lot of the old "Road Rash" series, with the background resembling it the most of the series. I like the 16 bit feel of it, it takes me back.
The controls took a little getting used to, as the vehicle seemed to "Float" at times while corning, or even just re positioning on a straight road. With the "Grip" maxed out, it wasn't as noticeable, even with the various vehicles.
I seen a few issues with the visuals while making jumps. The places I would expect a lot of air, the "camera view" would lose the vehicle for a second, and show a good visual jump, but the vehicle would stay with the road positioned just above the ground. I would also see random "broken glass effect" while driving in the middle of the road, with no other vehicles on screen.
I would like to see a race ranking during the race, just to know where I'm at without having to wait for a "Check point" to tell me. Also, with a race setting with tracks across the globe, it would be nice to pick a country or some other faction to represent. A customization of colors on a vehicle would be nice too.
Over all this was a fun game to play, and recommend it to anyone wanting a little retro racing, without having to pull out an old console. While there was no real story to speak of, or reason why you are racing, it didn't detract from the experience too much. Just a simple "Race to win" kind of game, with a retro feel. Keep up the good work.
This was a fun game to play.
It has a nice arcade feel to it and gave me good nostalgia.
The player's interface could use a touch up and a little more flare to make this more complete.
Overall the game is enjoyable and I recommend it to anyone who liked the SEGA racing arcades.
