Pretty decent. Had some issues with the light/wall thing, because I'd keep running into walls without realizing that they are there because they look so thin due to the top-down perspective. And the game ran a little slow on my poor potato-processor laptop, but that's unavoidable I guess. Otherwise it was good, at least as a concept, more content and a little more depth is all it needs to be great. I think that the complaints about "no monster" or "not logical" are, to be honest, retarded. Fear of the unknown trumps any monster any day, and anyone looking for "logic" in horror apparently hasn't ever heard of Steven King, H.P. Lovecraft, or anyone who ever had anything to do with anything scary.
Ah, yes, a ‘darkness game’. A game focusing more on cheap scares than actual gameplay.
-The game tries too hard to throw it's nice design to our face to bother animating the main character. Look ma I can do shadings. Yes I know. But how about some actual gameplay ? If you run too close to the wall your light see through them.
-Insert cliché of artsy darkness game N°1 : The Flickering light. You would think that someone who had ventured that deep into the dark had a flashlight with a decent battery but nooo...I am very tired of this cliché. Mostly because the game encourages you to stay in the dark to recharge your batteries
-There is no goal. No power up, no main character for that matter, and no gameplay. All you have to do is to keep your light alive and move, it doesnt matter if you go backward or not, all you have to do is to navigate through an unlikely maze, get lost because the game advise you to turn off your light, and then get chopped down by a pretend monster the designer was too lazy to animate.
-This is not a game. This is barely anything remotely presentable. Please put some actual effort into something else than pretty graphism next time. By sheer respect for the player who have to walk through this mess.
If you walk really close up to walls, the light will shine through the wall. I feel as if the game should be more challenging, if the light goes off you can just turn it on and it'll be good again. As long as you don't stop running, even if you run in circles, you'll never get caught. So it's pretty much a maze with the added challenge of darkness. If you fix the issues, and maybe add a jumpscare when you get caught, it would make the game more interesting.
a horror game is not called horror if we cannot understand the threat. A ghost, zombie or dark shadow can terrify you, but letting you die without reason cannot
