This is Maika.
First first started out as a Bionicle Moc, but I decided to make a cgi model after my failure at stop-motion.
Here's the result!
Ok, animation isn;t professional, but bear in mind it IS my first rendered animation ever.

There's a weird buzzing in the SFX.
Thats not their on purpose.
I've tried multiple mixdowns with differant file extensions (.ogg, .mp3, .wav etc) but I cannot seem to get rid of that confounded buzzing!

Also, not all sound may be completely in sync...

it is better-

how did you get so good at the fight motion?

Tattorack responds:

Well... I'm already good at drawing action on paper, so what I do is simply get the characters in the positions I want, wich isn't far from what I draw (on paper or Wacom).
The real challenge is getting the flow from one movement to another and never forgetting that knees and elbows are always bending.
To avoid stiffness I had made sure not a single bone ever stayed in the same position (relative to the body. Doing this requires a lot of micro-tweaking).

Other than that there isn't much else I can tell you.
The only tutorials I ever took were the simple ones, like how to move a bone and save it in a keyframe. What I did here I just... DID, without example or advice ^^; (besides what I know from drawing).

I loved it! The detail in Maika is good and the action sequence is amazing. Clearly a lot of work went into this. The only thing that seems a bit off is the walking towards the end and some awkward poses here and there. Other than that, it was nice to watch!

Tattorack responds:

I know, the walking >.<
I had it perfect, or as perfect as I could get it, wich was pretty ok, but at the last moment something screwed up with the foot bone's IK modifiers, setting location and rotation locking to nothing.
I had spent half a day rendering the walking (very slow pc, and its shared).
Glad you like it overall though ^^
I have an idea for another animation, one with an actual story and set in my universe, but it'll take quite a while.

This was a cool character and mildly funny fight scene. All you need now is a good plot to put it all in. Decent job overall with the video.

Tattorack responds:

Good plot, perhaps next time.
Maybe I'll also find a more efficient way to sync audio so I can have some voice acting done (but... I guess I'll need to find a girl somewhere to do that too...).

I myself was a little unsure about putting that scene in.
