Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of April we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 60 people to reach our goal of 3,000 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in May!

This was done for the Newgrounds 2014 Death Jam. We had to choose a unusual death in history to animate. I went with a man named David Phyall.

David's house was going to be repossessed, and David didn't want that. In protest, he decided to come up with a smart way of killing himself. He was found when his mom hadn't heard of him and called the police. In case I didn't portray it well enough in the video, by the time the police came, David had already been dead for a while.

Thanks goes to Sounddogs for providing the sound effects!

Great!
Although, the cop and I had the same reaction to the ending.

Oh god, this is just...disturbing. Oh nonono -- not the animation, that's fantastic! Especially since the whole scene is down to the lineart, it really showcases the 'illusion of movement', that basic bare bones of what animation is at its core. And it's fantastic. But you don't need fancy colors and elaborate backgrounds to explore someone's clearly dented, demented psyche. He may have had other issues -- but if he really just chainsaw'd his own neck just because of a repossession, then...well, that's not the smartest thing, right?

Great choice, great execution, and good luck in the runnings! But no matter where you wind up ranking, you should be proud of this and keep it in your repertoire. And all the best to you in your future efforts animating. But that should be no trouble at all for you, sir, if this is any indication.

Sanbles responds:

This really means a lot, considering I was getting ranked pretty badly. I still want to add color though. Just to see how it turns out. I probably won't put it up here, though, since this one's already posted. But thanks for your helpful comments!

This could have been better if you added some color to it. Of course, it was made in a weeekend so I'm not blamming you. I liked the animation but it was kinda choppy in some parts.

Sanbles responds:

I think I'm going to try to add some color then see how it turns out. I hate how I couldn't do it within the time given to us! Thanks for reviewin' though!

This video need a little work, first it needs color. Next you didn't show what happened you implied what happened but I couldn't tell that he died. was that supposed to be blood at the end? and the cops reaction kinda sucked, I would expect shock not disgust.

Sanbles responds:

I was trying to keep it funny in the end. I didn't really know how to end it haha. Every other part that looks like it needed work was because of the limited timeframe. It sucked. But thanks for the review!
