I listened to previous user reviews and made the game faster, tighter, and more responsive. Most of the interface is working now and one level is completely playable!

story of my life..
This was my first time playing Formula Z, and I found it frustrating (but in a good way!). Even though I kept dying in the first lap, I kept saying 'one more time, and i'll beat the first lap!' I finally did and I felt GREAT! (I bet you can feel my enthusiasm). I love the challenge but I feel the difficulty curve is too great from the time the race starts to the first turn, it would be nice for the difficulty to be a little lighter.
I see you've been using the ideas of the reviewers for your game, that's great, you're making sure the players have a say in how the game turns out. Just make sure the reviews don't take over the game.

Words of wisdom there, reviews can help and stimulate a developer but you must keep your own vision and desires alive. That is the way of the independent developer I think. Very nice to hear you felt frustrated in a good way :) I'll make level 1 easy and safe, last level hard and very dangerous. Or maybe start out with slower, historic F1 cars (or karts) and unlock faster cars later on.

Big improvement over the last version. You've managed to tighten things up a fair bit. Everything seems to be working, and the game is still properly hard. Those of you looking for a challenge, you've got one.

liked this game. but i think it would be better if you tried to add Multiplayer to the game.

I don't even know how to set up an online multiplayer system in game maker, would be very cool indeed!
wow definitely huge improvement from previous 2(they were fun too :)
steering is a bit tough at high speed but the challenge is what the game is about.
this is surely ultimo, and indie.
