2030: City Commander -

This game is for the construct 2 2030 competition.

As time was limited there will no doubt be a few bugs and I had to leave out a lot of features because as usual I was extremely over ambitious! But lemme know what you think. It's more of a tech demo at this stage :D

Story -

2030: Another year has past in this terrible war, the creatures don’t seem to be slowing their assault…

We are eternally grateful to the space pioneers of the last 20 years, their vision combined with their passion has created us a way to defend ourselves…

5 years before the first creature appeared in our atmosphere a joint effort was launched to build the first combined space mining factory using the latest self replicating 3D printing technology…

It was now possible to upload designs and have it built in space ready for use. over the 5 years the technology both expanded and was refined until that day when the first city was leveled…

It didn’t take the founders long to see that there was no hope for Humanity at the rate things were going there would be nothing left within 6 months…

An Engineering team was put together to design a modular city that could be launched from orbit, allowing city commanders to build them on the fly reacting to situations as they arise, simultaneously building shelter, feeding the millions of refugees and defending them…

I like stacking up my defenses and full screen mode really takes the experience up a notch. The thing that bothered me was not seeing what was attacking us; I just see lasers coming from the top of the screen so I shoot towards the lasers. Would feel a lot more satisfying if I could see what I was shooting and see it get destroyed... Not sure if that actually happens and I'm just not getting to that or maybe something else is going wrong?

Isomoar responds:

It says in the instructions to use the right mouse button to drag the screen around.

Needs resolution settings

Isomoar responds:

Doesn't the full screen button work?
