Z is currently in development. I am releasing the first 5 levels as I am really keen on getting some feedback. Please let me know what you think as I am excited to continue adding new levels and features. Thank you!


v0.7 updates following feedback:
1. Controls changed to use keyboard only
2. Player speed and acceleration increased
3. New 'Mayhem' feature added to levels 4 and 5 - you will know what is it when it happens!
4. Passwords for each level added - can be entered on menu


Passwords for testing the other levels: 2 = FIRSTBLOOD, 3 = EXPLOSIVE, 4 = DARKNESS and 5 = VIRUS

I'd have liked better it if the game's response to movement inputs was a little faster. The character must be obese, since it takes him so long to get up to speed, and he can't run very fast... The odds aren't exactly in the little guy's favour, what with him wandering around in a zombie apocalypse. Good thing he has explosives!

I also came across a bug (or I think it was a bug, anyway) in level 2, where it said there were 3 zombies left, but I could not for the life of me find any of them... It made the unresponsive controls and slow movement speed even more frustrating...

Comments taken on board regarding the slow movement. I guess I was trying to make it so you couldn't just run to avoid the zombies and need to be more tactile, however maybe a middle ground of faster acceleration would suit. I will add it to my dev list.

This game has potential, that's for sure. I do wish the game was a bit more fast paced, and that there was some sort of puzzle solving involved, but I like it.

Thanks for the feedback. Puzzles are something that I have on my dev list. I am working on the next set of levels and additional features at the moment :)

Weird and awkward controls, surprisingly frighting atmosphere.

Thanks. Following a previous comment, I will be adding a keyboard only control-set.

Glad you liked the atmos. It does ramp up a little on the later levels with torch-light style rooms.

It's really like bomberman with indestructable tiles. Add something more unique to the game.

Thanks. Levels 2-5 do include more 'unique' elements such as doors that auto-open to release zombies, indestructible blocks that are appear on triggers, plus rooms that you cannot see until you are inside. I am working on new features too.
