Greener Grass

Share Collapse

"Greener Grass" is set in a world of floating islands, and follows the antics of the dim-witted Killian, as he attempts to cross to another island that offers a more luxurious life. He is aided by the intelligent Talon, who uses her cunning intellect in attempts to provide him safe passage across the endless fall in between the islands. However, all does not flow smoothly."

Liked it a lot good job. ^-^

NIce animation. But i tihnk music a little bit not compare with video. And too loud.
GOOD JOB!

Hooray!

Not bad

It's been said many times, but the animations felt very stiff. But I think what really put me off most was the pacing. I feel like 3 attempts to get to the other island would have balanced the piece more. But in particular what bothered me was the final few seconds. When Killian realized that he had sacrificed companionship for food, the conflict was resolved far too quickly. Personally I felt the whole piece would have been stronger if it ended on that note, but even with a happy ending, there could have been much more impact with just a few more seconds for that realization to resonate. Especially if done with a more subtle shift in expression, rather than an exagerated slump of sorrow on Talon's part. I'm sure time was limited, but I think a few more seconds and a bit more subtlety would have added a lot more to the piece, and made the payoff more satisfying.
Overall the environments are interesting and creative. For a single-person effort, this is quite impressive, and I hope you continue and improve in the coming years.
