this game isn't even finished.

not bad, but the hp is kinda weird, you die instantly.

this probably wont make any sense but it needs a bit more jontron and some less mario. more about the witty dialouge and references and less about the platform. also the hitbox is to high on the top right part of jon. but either way, you could've called this game bird vs camel and no one would have argued with you.

the lack of defense is not acceptable. Try putting a little emotion into it, jon is obviously mario. I like that rockington is in the beginning but its suffers from an intense lack of refrences. it would be nice if jock helped with jumping or something...seriously...this needs help.

how can you call this a demo when you haven't even finished the full game heck you didn't even improve hit boxes a demo should be what the full game would be like but you're probably not even gonna work on this and were not gonna even see a full version btw i remember playing a jontron game on new grounds that is exactly like this i bet you deleted the first one and then reuploaded it because it got bad reviews and thats okay if you actually tried to improve it but you clearly didn't 0.5\5 and that's being generous can't wait till you reupload it again because it got bad review's

The reason I deleted this a while ago was not because it got bad reviews, it was because it was only a limited time demo. The reason I put back up the same game was because a college professor came to my school, viewed it along with others, and then wanted me to put his online where his students could view some of the basic aspects of making a game. I expect this game to be out no later than August and the reason for it taking so long is because this was a short project we had to do for my class, I am currently working on a different project right now but during the summer put all my time into perfecting this game.


It has potential. I like it. But yeah, the borders of the hit boxes need to be improved. The thing that bothered me the most, however, was the damage aspect. There really needs to be some kind of limit, like a moment of invincibility. Because right now, you could easily get killed by simply by accidentally walking over a spring or failing to jump over a bird.

Also, a game like this kinda needs Mario-physics. I want to feel like I'm in control, but I don't. It plays a bit too much like Castlevania that way, only without the whip. The jumps are slow and have no real weight to them. It's moon jumping, really, and without a distinguishable jump frame it sorta looks that way, too. There was like no use for running in this demo. It's too slow, and again; needs more Mario. Now, even if the game is designed so that you can avoid obstacles without ducking, it feels weird not being able to dodge things. Especially the birds.

Other than that, it's fine. The music is great and the JonTron sprite is cool. A JonTron platformer is an awesome idea and I can't wait to play the final result.
