I got to the end of level 4 and it wouldn't let me win. It wouldn't let me touch the flag. Other than that, perfect platform positioning and great controls with flawless jump and landing timing.
simple platformer, nicely programmed though, nice song too
You can use tools like mt Paint, Inkscape, Pencil, to make your own graphics for the game :) The music doesn't seem to fit with the visual style of the foreground graphics. Perhaps think 8bit chiptunes or future synth-type tunes. For sound effects, you should check out sfxr.
If you make it an endless runner, where the platforms move and the player has to keep up or die, it might add a funner dynamic to the gameplay. Include a leader board or high score board of some kind, and I think you might get more players and more positive feedback.
Change the main character to something unique, and animate it so that it looks like it is moving forward. Cute first effort with Stencyl, but try adding your own little unique gameplay hook. It is one thing to use templates and examples from other people, so that you learn, but you should always try to add a little something that your game has that others do not.
Amazing! Thanks, I'll try these out :)
Thanks for your feedback.
This is a nice game, but it has glitches, like you can't pass level 4. And the coins have no use, the music gets boring and I see you made no graphics for this game, just googled them, that's not good. The gameplay is still fun so I'll give 3 stars.
The game is not finished, I'm still working on it.
I'm currently looking for something I can do with coins, maybe create an in-game shop or something.
And yes, I don't make the graphics my self, I'm a programmer not a designer :)
Thanks for your feedback
The game wasn't BAD, but there are plenty of issues. First, that music is god awful. The black ground is so bare compared to the robot and the coins. The jumping is hard to aim sometimes, especially when it gets to the smaller platforms. Also, the coins shouldn't have hitboxes. I land on them, then they disappear and I fall. This sometimes caused me to fall into the holes. Again, not a bad game. But it has some pretty big flaws.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. This is my first game, so indeed it needs a lot of work. I fixed the coin issue. I'm working on the background music and the jump aiming.
Thanks again for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
