Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Draughts (or checkers) is played by two opponents, on opposite sides of the gameboard. The players alternate turns. It is against the rules to move one of the opponent's pieces. The player with the light pieces moves first. A move consists of moving a piece diagonally to an adjacent unoccupied square. If the adjacent square contains an opponent piece, it may be captured (and removed from the game) by jumping over it to the unoccupied square immediately beyond it. A piece may move only diagonally into an unoccupied square. Capturing is mandatory in most official rules, although some rule variations make capturing optional when presented. In almost all variants, the player without pieces remaining, or who cannot move due to being blocked, loses the game. When a man reaches the crownhead or kings row (the farthest row forward), it becomes a king, and is marked by placing an additional piece on top of the first man, and acquires additional powers including the ability to move backwards (and capture backwards, in variants in which they cannot already do so). As with non-king men, a king may make successive jumps in a single turn provided that each jump captures an opponent man or king.

So it seems the computer's regular non-king pieces can move backwards as if they were kings, but not mine. Well that's ONE way of making an AI that is unbeatable. Why not just skip a few steps and make a checkers game that says "game over, computer wins, chump player loses" right at the beginning without any need for pieces to be moved? That AI would also be unbeatable, and it would be a real timesaver and it would accomplish the same thing.

1 there is 'super' king rules in which the king has infinite jump. 2 pawns do not jup backward in any game style. 3 overall a little buggy but nice. a decent 5 minute burner

It looks nice but that is all I will say about it. The "forced move" system is total BS and the only way you can jump backwards is with the king.

what the hell the opponant can move backward without being a dam king, have you ever played checkers/draft's?

it's just checkers.. I mean it works for what it is, but I can't help feeling the same game is built into every computer sense windows XP :/
